The Gourmet Challenge cooking format is not just applicable for formal learning and development with small teams, managers or leaders. It is also an ideal event to use within a conference or large "launch" event as a breakout or networking activity.
Every conference needs a breakout, especially one that provides an engaging platform for networking, enjoyment and eating! Our cooking formats can be integrated within the conference agenda as lunchtime breakouts (cook then eat lunch), cocktail and canapés, parties, sushi master-classes, 'high tea' or full multi-course gala dinners.
We always prefer a hands-on format (i.e. people cooking rather than watching) but we will also provide entertainment formats such as chef demo's and "ready, steady, cook" formats if client prefers.
You may not believe it is possible for 150+ people to cook their own dinner. Not only is it possible, but we guarantee that it would be the most engaging, impactful and enjoyable conference dinner participants have ever experienced!
GROUP SIZES AND APPLICABILITY
Typically these start at about 50 people up to 150 people. We could accommodate more if the venue selected for the event has adequate facilities for large groups.
LOCATIONS
We deliver our conference breakout events through our partner network of hotels, restaurants and private properties. We deliver nationally in the UK, in city centres, country retreats. If you are planning a conference and have not yet booked the venue, then it is helpful to consult with us first, so we can suggest suitable locations where we already know the cooking is possible. If you have already booked a location, we can engage with the venue to assess facilities for running the event on-site.
We also deliver our programmes overseas, including Ireland, Europe (France, Spain, Italy) or any specific destination the client may require (group size dependent).
TIMINGS AND ITINERARIES
We design our itineraries to suit each client's needs. Timings vary to suit the format, from an hour for a chef demo and tasting session, up to 3 hours for a lunch, high tea, or cocktails and canapés, party, or up to 5 hours+ for a gala dinner (including dining). All our cookery events can be integrated into existing itineraries, for department meetings, conferences, presentations, launches.
OUR FACILITATION TEAM
All conference cooking events are facilitated by our professional and award winning chef team and managed by our excellent event hosts. We work very closely with the venue's own teams to ensure successful delivery of the events.
THEMES - ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE AND VALUE
We can design any theme menu with any cuisine type. We would also would suggest some innovative ideas, related to and suitable to your business or
organisational values, that can be expressed through food e.g. healthy eating, cultural diversity,
and/or "living the brand" (reflecting the client's own products, brand or values in the menu).
