Management Development Programmes
Food@Work The Gourmet Challenge is an experiential cooking format that is a highly effective and engaging medium for people development. Our team building and bonding experiences, business networking and client entertainment events have delivered clear and tangible value to our clients, to the extent that many have asked that our experiential solutions become a series of "fixtures" (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on their ongoing executive development programmes.

CLIENT OBJECTIVES
Specific objectives vary by client, but are largely focused around using the rich context of planning and cooking a gourmet meal, to develop management capabilities. Often this would have specific reference to building and managing high performing teams. The programme is designed to optimally support and integrate with the overall objectives, style and key learning areas of the programme.

In addition to its management development, this is an excellent forum for business networking between participants.

GROUP SIZE AND APPLICABILITY
The programme series is ideally suited for multi-disciplinary, multi-location management teams, drawing participants from around the UK, and often from around the world, to share a common highly-valued experience. Group sizes vary from 6 - 40 people, depending on the nature of the series, and size of clients development programme.

FREQUENCY/ DURATIONS
The programme series varies from client to client and is driven foremost by the overall management development objectives and programme itinerary. Some clients have monthly or quarterly events over the course of a year; some run 3-4 events/week on select weeks of the year; others may have one event per week over a 1-3 month period.

LOCATIONS
We deliver our management development programmes through our partner network of hotels, restaurants and private properties - all with fabulous kitchens. We deliver nationally in the UK, in city centres, country retreats and in clients own offices.

We also deliver our programmes overseas, including Ireland, Europe (France, Spain, Italy) or any specific destination the client may require.

TIMINGS AND ITINERARIES
We design our itineraries to suit each client's needs. Our cooking events range from evening, ½-day, full-day and two-day residential formats. All our cookery programmes can be integrated into existing itineraries, for example conferences and existing development programme schedules.

OUR FACILITATION TEAM
All cookery events are facilitated by our professional and award winning chef team and managed by our excellent event hosts. When applicable to meet the needs of the programme, our facilitation team would also include expert people development consultants and nutritionists.

THEMES - ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE AND VALUE
In addition to our ability to deliver any culinary theme desired by our clients, our experiential cooking format has proven to be an ideal opportunity to highlight and reinforce some key organisational and cultural themes and/or messages e.g. healthy eating, cultural diversity, and/or "living the brand" (reflecting the client's own products, brand or values in the menu).
